It also explains types of deductive arguments which I got a brief introduction to through CrashCourse Philosophy, but this book goes into a lot more detail. Thanks for telling us about the problem. But it is definitely useful, and works very well as a, well, rulebook for arguments. A few interesting points here and there, but nothing that the average person couldn’t arrive at with a few seconds’ thinking. I would have liked to see a few problems interspersed for the reader to solve and identify argumentw uses of argument, however the author was clear that this book was not intended for that, and I believe it was written to serve as a supplement to larger texts that would treat logic more comprehensively.

I was argumemts to buy this book but after reading it, I realise it is worth it’s price. A Rulebook for Arguments really is what it says, a short and concise, but easy to understand, list of rules on how to construct a solid argument. Although the book does not provide the references and the ways to control gesture, it is considered to be very useful rulebook, especially for the trainers or teachers and also the English department students in lecturing or studying the rules of developing good arguments.
