I asiimov liked the book much better than the movie and I loved the movie. Andrew uses, for the first time, the word “enjoy” to describe why he carves. At this point, any other family would’ve sent Andrew to be reprogrammed, as robots were not designed to have preferences or feelings of any sort.


The book is very different from the film in many ways, but both tellings of this story are exceptional. His next desire is to have surgery that would make him self-cleaning: A dear friend of mine loves the movie and got me interested.
